“In the early 1990s, in an attempt to stay centered and gain some peace of mind during a particularly rough time in my life, I started listening to Deepak Chopra’s early tape collections. Journey to the Boundless prompted me to start meditating and I have been meditating ever since. In 1999, I was trained in Transcendental Meditation but continued to be an avid reader of Deepak’s books. His work on the body, mind, spirit connection resonates strongly with me, and I share his view that a person’s health is intimately related to her or his state of mind. Consequently, in 2003, I made the decision to become a Chopra Center certified Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor as the most logical extension of my love for meditation and it’s benefits, Deepak Chopra’s work, and a lifelong awareness of the mystical. In 2008, I started Joy Meditation to pass the wisdom on.”
Stephanie also has an M.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
“I never feel closer to spirit than when I’m outside in nature.”
